This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Temperley London brand, and to celebrate, designer Alice Temperley staged her Fall/Winter 2011 Ready-to-Wear runway show at the British Museum in London– a fashion week first! Models strutted their glamorous garments down the runway, and then struck statue-like poses at one side of the grand staircase. For her colour palette, Temperley combined harsh blacks and browns with soft neutral shades of white, and a few touches of red. Fabrics were sheer, lace and silk, with a variety of textures and treatments.
Temperley combines a retro design with a bold, glittering gold and brown print to create this jumpsuit, suitable for both evening-wear and perhaps a night out at a lavish lounge. In many ways, the cut of this garment is very similar to a Topshop Unique design shown the same day in London.
