Jumpsuit by St. John at New York Fashion Week
The St. John Fall/Winter 2011 Ready-to-Wear collection was shown at New York Fashion Week early last month. Creative director George Sharp illustrated dramatic elegance in designing the garments–Fur accents, calf-length dresses, tailored bell-bottoms and flowy maxi skirts, embellished with belts, bows and striking costume jewelry.
This lavish maroon colour of this jumpsuit makes it a perfect outfit for the holiday season. Nothing says “trendy” more clearly than the signature NYFW F/W 2011 flared pants, but combined with the dolman sleeves, there’s just too disproportional much volume– it probably should have been an either-or design decision.
