After the Royal Wedding, fashion speculators worldwide turned their eyes away from Westminster Abbey, and towards New York City, for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute Gala.
It’s hard to believe that something as simple as Kate’s white wedding dress instigated thousands of tweets and blog posts, when the red carpet at the Met was decorated with some jaw-dropping designs, draped glamorously on A-list celebrities, triggering a flood of morning-after tweets and online articles.
While some opted for gowns with cleavage boosters, thigh-high slits and leg-elongating lace, Iman chose to stand out in a gold and bronze embroidered jumpsuit by Stella McCartney.
